Antique Roseville – Ashley & Tanner

Ashley & Tanner were married on the 2nd of March at Antique Roseville. It was the absolute sweetest day filled with the sweetest people. The day Ashley and I met for our consultation I gushed about her Heidi Gibson ring. I was so excited to photograph it especially when I had one of my own! Big thanks to Hannah Herpin for second shooting.

Here's their story:
How it all began.

This story all started with a simple request for coffee and late night breakfast food. Ashley and Tanner shared a table at Mel's and the two began to get to know each other over many pots of coffee. The dim lights and shuffling sounds of patrons and tables being cleaned set the night. The couple discussed future goals and past stories. Each other wanting to know every detail that they missed out on until this very moment. It could of been the relaxed setting or that these two could tell that they belonged together. This night was the moment that started it all. Mel's has since then been a very important place for this couple and will remain that way long into their marriage.

The proposal.
It is Halloween weekend of 2017. The new home of Ashley and Tanner is filled with decorations and friends. Tanner invited some friends to share the moment. The plan was set, Grant would take photos, Ben would FaceTime John in Nashville, and everyone else would film the proposal. Everyone was set in the living room waiting for the signal. Tanner calls to gain Ashley's attention, goes down on one knee and utters the famous words by Michael Scott, "Ashley Gros, marry me will you be?". After asking if this is real Ashley said the only word Tanner every wanted to hear when asking that question, yes. The room filled with applause and cheers. The couple began making phone calls to family and friends to tell them the good news. After the room started to settle Grant came to the newly engaged couple and told them that the camera did not have a memory card and none of the photos saved. The couple began to laugh and only cared about sharing the moment with friends. Just like the sprinklers going off when Michael asked Holly, a small inconvenience holds no merit in this moment.
